Updated with a new Station on 05-22-07. Look at it below.

Here you will find some of the tying stations I make in my shop. Not only do I make standard stations, I also make streamside box's and special order, one of a kind Tying Furniture.

This station is more of a tool caddy. It is a bit large for some at 35 1/2" wide and 15" deep. The thread rack is removable and will comfortably handle 30 + spools. There are 12 "Pockets" to hold head cement or any other bottle or container. It has a compliment of 74 tool holes, 15 on either side and 44 across the back. They range from 3/32 to 3/8 diameter to take almost any tool. Also, an optional drying rack cam be positioned in one of several holes to place flies on for display or so that epoxies or head finishes can dry.

This would be a nice station for tying shows or demonstrations. It allows an ample surface area for materials as well as display characteristics. When one is finished they can simply pick up the entire thing and move it without fear of tools and flies tumbling everywhere.

A note here, I had to borrow tools from the wife and daughters tying kits to be able to display this station.

Below are a few shots of my fly tying "Corner" in the newly finished family room.

This Tying Station is Formica toped, (Granite Gray), all pieces that make up the station are Desert Osage. All pieces split and milled here in the shop from raw Osage trees. These particular pieces came from a tree that has been dead and aged well over 100 years. The dimensions of this station are as follows, Width 23 1/2 inches, Depth 22 inches, (from back of thread rack to front of vice platform), Height 8 inches. The tread rack will hold 45 spools of your chosen threads, there are 58 stations for storing tools, (bobbins, bodkins, picks, scissors, etc. etc. etc.), and there are 12 spaces 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" to store your head cements, special paints, bead bottles and so on.

Since I traded the other one off, I had to make a new one. Jimi

If you are interested in where my Osage comes from, before it looks like this, here it is. Every piece is split and milled right here in our shop.
